AuraTerms of Use
Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using Aura, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app. These terms are between you and Type Visions ("we," "us"), the maker of Aura.
The license
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use Aura on Apple devices you own or control (Mac, iPhone, and iPad — one license and one purchase covers all of them, through the same App Store listing). You get a 30-day free trial with the full feature set, no account required. After that, continued use requires a one-time purchase of $49 through the App Store — not a subscription. It's a lifetime license: the app is yours to keep and use, and the purchase includes every 1.x update we ship. No recurring charges, ever.
You can't resell, sublicense, or transfer your license to someone else. You can't redistribute the app outside the App Store.
Your provider accounts
Aura runs on API keys you supply for third-party providers — Kie.ai, FAL.ai, Runware, Replicate, Runway, Higgsfield, or any custom endpoint you configure. Those accounts, and any fees the providers charge you, are entirely yours. We're not a party to your relationship with them.
You're responsible for:
- Complying with each provider's own terms of service and acceptable-use policies.
- Whatever you generate through Aura, and what you do with it.
- Any charges those providers bill you directly — Aura has no billing relationship with them and can't refund or dispute charges on your behalf.
Ownership and rights to generated content follow the terms of the provider that generated it. We don't grant or restrict rights to your outputs beyond what those providers already set.
Affiliate links
Aura includes signup links for the providers it supports, and some of those are affiliate links: if you open one and create an account with the provider, we (Type Visions) may earn a commission from that provider. This costs you nothing — you pay the provider's same published prices either way, and the commission comes out of the provider's pocket, not yours. It also doesn't change which providers Aura supports or how the app treats them.
Third-party services may change
Aura talks to APIs we don't control. Providers rename models, change parameters, deprecate endpoints, or shut down without notice — that's on them, not us. Our Heal feature tries to detect and repair breakage automatically using an LLM and live documentation search, but we can't promise it always works, or that any given provider or model will keep functioning. Aura is a client for services outside our control, and we don't guarantee their availability.
Acceptable use
Don't use Aura to:
- Break the law.
- Generate content that violates a provider's acceptable-use policy — you agreed to follow those when you created the account.
- Circumvent rate limits, content filters, or usage restrictions a provider has put in place.
- Reverse-engineer, tamper with, or misuse the app in ways that harm us or other users.
We may restrict features that facilitate abuse of third-party services if we become aware of it.
Ownership
Aura — the app, its code, design, and bundled model catalogs — is ours. Your license lets you use it; it doesn't transfer ownership. Content you generate through the app is governed by the terms of the provider that generated it, as noted above.
Disclaimer of warranty
Aura is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the app will be error-free, that any specific provider or model will keep working, or that generated content will meet your expectations.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Aura. Our total liability for any claim relating to Aura is capped at the amount you paid for your license — $49, or $0 if you're on the trial.
Refunds
All purchases go through the App Store, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own refund policy. We don't process refunds directly and can't override Apple's decisions. Request a refund through your Apple ID purchase history or Apple Support.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Changes
We may update these terms as Aura evolves. We'll update the effective date above when we do. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
